Giving Tuesday 2025: Investing in the Advancement of Black Women and Girls in Greater Cleveland

Giving Tuesday is more than a moment on the calendar for the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Greater Cleveland Chapter. It is an opportunity to reflect on the work we have accomplished, reaffirm our mission, and invite our community to stand with us as we continue advocating for Black women and girls across Greater Cleveland.
This year, our Chapter has carried forward a legacy rooted in education, economic empowerment, civic engagement, health equity, and leadership development. The impact of this work is visible throughout the programs, scholarships, and community initiatives we have delivered. Each effort is intentional, focused, and aligned with our mission to uplift Black women and strengthen the communities they support.
In recent months, our Chapter has undertaken several key initiatives that reflect the depth of our commitment:
-
Celebrating Leadership and Community Excellence: We hosted the 34th Annual Women of Vision Awards, recognizing trailblazing women whose leadership continues to shape the Greater Cleveland community.
-
Expanding Educational Opportunities: We awarded the 2024–2025 Margaret R. Barron Scholarship, supporting young Black women pursuing higher education and demonstrating a commitment to academic excellence and service.
-
Building Financial Empowerment and Stability: Our four-part homeownership education series provided women with essential financial literacy tools, practical guidance, and long-term strategies for building generational wealth.
-
Promoting Health and Wellness: We organized the Black Family Cancer Awareness Fair to provide families with critical health information, community resources, and education designed to support long-term wellness.
Each of these initiatives speaks directly to our mission and to the values that guide our Chapter. They demonstrate the importance of sustained advocacy, thoughtful programming, and community-centered leadership. They also reflect the tangible impact of the support we receive from members, partners, and donors who believe in the work we do.
On Giving Tuesday, we invite you to help us continue this momentum. Your contribution supports the expansion of programs that uplift Black women and girls, encourage civic participation, strengthen economic pathways, and promote the health and well-being of families across our region.
Every gift makes a difference. Every donation helps us build on a legacy that has shaped Greater Cleveland for decades. And every act of support helps move our mission forward.
