For many aspiring homeowners, the dream of owning a home can feel equal parts exciting and overwhelming. Questions about credit, financing, affordability, and the homebuying process often create uncertainty—but access to the right information can make all the difference.
The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Greater Cleveland Chapter (NCBW-GCC), through its continued commitment to economic empowerment, proudly launched its 2026 Homeownership Series for First-Time Buyers—a three-part educational experience designed to equip future homeowners with the knowledge, tools, and confidence needed to navigate the path to homeownership.
The first session took place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the Warrensville Heights Library, bringing together aspiring homeowners for an afternoon of practical learning, conversation, and connection.
Presented in partnership with PNC Bank, NID Housing Counseling Agency, and Sister-Nomics®, the workshop was designed specifically for first-time homebuyers seeking practical guidance and expert insight on the journey toward homeownership.

Building on the momentum of previous homeownership programming, this new three-part series continues NCBW Greater Cleveland’s commitment to helping individuals and families make informed financial decisions that can create lasting impact. From understanding credit and financing to preparing for the realities of homeownership, attendees gained access to practical information, trusted resources, and meaningful dialogue with professionals invested in their success.
Homeownership remains one of the most powerful tools for building long-term financial stability and generational wealth. But preparation matters—and having the right people in your corner matters even more.
This first session marked the beginning of an intentional journey for many future homeowners, offering a strong foundation for the workshops still to come.
Whether attendees arrived ready to begin the buying process or simply to learn what homeownership could look like for their future, the goal remained the same: to replace uncertainty with knowledge and empower informed decision-making.
The journey to homeownership begins with information, strategy, and one intentional step forward.
