The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Greater Cleveland Chapter (NCBW-GCC) proudly welcomed the Class of 2024 into the Sisterhood of the Coalition on Sunday, September 29, 2024.

The celebration marked the culmination of a powerful recruitment and orientation season, as ten phenomenal women joined the ranks of advocates committed to NCBW’s mission of leadership, advocacy, and empowerment. The event was filled with warmth, reflection, and pride as members came together to honor the spirit of service that defines the Greater Cleveland Chapter.

Class of 2024 Inductees:
Layisha Bailey, Brigette Calhoun, Brittanny Evans, Shawanna Hanson, Shelley Hill, Shamarah Hutchins, Tennille Power, Sarah Sherrod, Tanjuilla Tyson, and Lakisha Wingard.

The ceremony featured an inspiring F.I.R.E. address by Dr. Tameka Ellington, whose message moved members and guests alike to embrace purpose-driven leadership. Special thanks were extended to Immediate Past National President Elizabeth A. Jones, Third Vice President of Membership Denise Milner, and the Membership Committee for coordinating an exceptional ceremony that beautifully captured the essence of NCBW’s values.

As the chapter looks ahead, hearts remain full from this celebration of sisterhood and service. The Class of 2024 embodies the strength, vision, and resilience that continue to fuel NCBW-GCC’s advocacy efforts across Greater Cleveland and beyond.

Together, these women will help advance the Coalition’s mission — to lead, advocate, and empower — ensuring lasting impact in the community and future generations of Black women leaders.
