The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Greater Cleveland Chapter (NCBW) proudly launched its signature “Through Her Eyes” Mentorship Program for the 2023–2024 program year — a transformative initiative designed to empower African American high school girls through mentoring, life-skills development, and leadership growth.
This program reflects one of NCBW’s core pillars: advocacy through mentorship. “Through Her Eyes” provides students with the tools and confidence to succeed academically and personally while exploring college, career, and community engagement opportunities. Mentees will receive guidance and support in areas including personal branding, mindfulness, academic achievement, health and wellness, the arts, STEM, and advocacy.
Through intentional programming and mentorship connections, participants are encouraged to build character, develop leadership skills, and discover their voices — equipping them to share their stories, uplift their peers, and become engaged citizens. The Mentorship Committee and Mentorship Chair are leading this initiative with a shared vision: to inspire young women to reach for the stars, achieve their goals, and recognize the power of their own potential.
The “Through Her Eyes” Mentorship Program stands as a testament to NCBW’s ongoing mission to advocate on behalf of Black women and girls, promoting equity, education, and empowerment throughout Greater Cleveland.
