The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Greater Cleveland Chapter (NCBW-GCC) hosted its Annual Chapter Retreat on Friday, November 8, and Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Twinsburg, Ohio.
With the theme “Back to the Basics,” the retreat centered on reconnecting with the core mission of NCBW — advancing leadership, advocacy, and empowerment for Black women and girls. Members gathered to strengthen bonds, deepen understanding of NCBW’s governance structure, and reaffirm their shared purpose as advocates and change agents within the Greater Cleveland community.
The first evening focused on sisterhood and connection, featuring interactive games, good food, and heartfelt conversation that encouraged members to unwind and get to know one another beyond their leadership roles.
Saturday’s session provided in-depth discussions around NCBW’s local and national governing documents, emphasizing the importance of sustainable chapter management and informed leadership. Members explored how governance knowledge directly supports the organization’s mission and enhances its advocacy impact.
The retreat not only reinforced operational excellence but also revitalized members’ passion for service — ensuring that the Greater Cleveland Chapter continues to grow stronger, more connected, and purpose-driven.
