On September 21, 2024, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Greater Cleveland Chapter (NCBW-GCC) and the National Council of Negro Women, Inc., Cuyahoga County Section (NCNW-CCS) teamed up once again to support the Cleveland Metropolitan School District’s Step Up Community Rally.

Held at the East Professional Center, this annual celebration brought together families, educators, and community partners to recognize CMSD scholars for achieving a three-star district rating — while also inspiring civic engagement ahead of the November election.

Representatives from NCBW and NCNW engaged attendees in conversations about the importance of voting, sharing trusted resources from the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections and Vote411.org to help residents make informed decisions at the polls. The collaboration underscored both organizations’ shared mission to mobilize, organize, and educate — empowering communities to use their voices and exercise their rights.

Through collective action and partnerships like this, NCBW and NCNW continue to promote civic participation and community leadership, ensuring that every voter is informed, engaged, and ready to make their voice heard.
