On Saturday, June 22, 2024, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Greater Cleveland Chapter (NCBW) hosted its 33rd Annual Women of Vision Scholarship & Awards Gala at the Hilton Garden Inn in Twinsburg, Ohio. This year’s theme, “Legacy Unveiled: A Futuristic Vision of the Harlem Renaissance,” honored the bold activism, culture, and leadership that continue to shape our collective legacy.
The evening recognized women who embody NCBW’s mission through their outstanding contributions in education, health, public policy, and economic empowerment.

In addition to the honorees, NCBW celebrated the next generation of leaders through its scholarship program, awarding the Dr. Shirley Seaton Scholarship for Education to Kendall Simone Norton, and the Margaret R. Barron Scholarship to Kailyn Jessica Robinson, Comyah Lynn Roberts, and Aza Sekai Wilbon.
The evening was a reflection of the organization’s ongoing dedication to advocacy, education, and service. Attendees were reminded of the power of mentorship, the importance of investing in students, and the responsibility of lifting the generations that follow.
As honoree Destiny Thomas shared, the gala was more than an awards ceremony — “It was a celebration of courage, community, and Black excellence.”
NCBW Greater Cleveland Chapter extends heartfelt thanks to all who supported this year’s Women of Vision Gala — from committee members and sponsors to attendees who continue to believe in the mission to advocate for Black women and girls through leadership development, education, and economic empowerment.
