In 2024, NC100BW, Inc. hosted two Voter Education Seminars as part of the Voter Education Series at the Garrett Morgan School of Leadership and Innovation. The goal of these seminars was to educate and motivate high school students to become civically engaged and to encourage their communities to do the same.

The public policy committee employed the “Rock The Vote” curriculum to highlight the importance of students’ roles in political conversations. The curriculum covered topics such as how state laws can either encourage or suppress voting, the power of their vote, the significance of participation in local and midterm elections, and common myths surrounding voting. At the conclusion of each session, eligible students were registered to vote and pledged to vote, as well as to serve as peer ambassadors for voting in their schools and communities.
