The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Greater Cleveland Chapter (NCBW-GCC) continues to champion the development of young women through its Through Her Eyes Mentorship Program, now in its second year. Designed to empower African American high school girls, the program provides mentorship, leadership training, and personal development to prepare participants for college, career, and life success.

Serving six female high school students from across Northeast Ohio, Through Her Eyes combines in-person and virtual learning experiences from October 2024 through June 2025. Mentees engage in monthly check-ins, webinars, and small group sessions that explore critical topics such as communication, academic success, goal setting, life skills, self-confidence, and career exploration.

The curriculum features 13 modules, including You Are Your Brand, Time Management and Study Skills, STEAM Project, and Mindfulness, ensuring participants build both academic and emotional resilience. Students also benefit from interactive experiences such as field trips, guest speakers, and job shadowing opportunities with professionals across industries.

By fostering mentorship connections and leadership readiness, Through Her Eyes reflects NCBW-GCC’s mission to empower the next generation of Black female leaders — instilling confidence, purpose, and a vision for lifelong success.
